Orientation
Once oriented to the basics of church planting, the planter and their team are now equipped to move ahead in their vision, clarifying the model which best fits it and ready to engage in a training process that is more specific to their needs.
For the purposes of ORIENTATION we propose that individuals discerning a call to church planting be afforded an experience in which they are exposed to basic church planting concepts and given the time and space to wrestle with these until such a time when they have developed a clear and compelling picture of the preferred future as God has called them to shape it. This orientation event may be experienced through any agency approved by Missiochurch as one which espouses similar principles to those adopted by Missiochurch and its constituency.
These principles include:
- Discussion of self-care
- Discussion of Risk Management
- Vision Planning and Development
- Logan’s biological phases of a church plant
An overview of the use of appropriate tools such as:
- Demographic tools
- Psychographic tools
- Community Needs Assessments
Missiochurch will provide the resources necessary for the candidate to receive this opportunity and will work with the candidate through a coaching role to process the experience and facilitate the candidate’s preparedness for further training.
